Baymont by Wyndham in Helena, Montana

I arrived in Helena for a 2 day class I was attending Sun & Monday. The lady working front desk Saturday, April 28th was excellent. Super funny, jokes with us. Made sure we had everything we needed! The rooms weren’t bad, comfy beds; but our floor smelled like cigarettes. Even tho it was non smoking. The lady working the front desk Sunday afternoon and Monday was less than tasteful. I had a break Sunday afternoon and took my Mother and daughter lunch. I went to get grab them from the pool and the lady (Ramona) barked at me when I asked for directions stating I can’t take food in there. As I had already understood this, and was just grabbing them to go to the lobby, she snapped that I was drippping my drink. Simply rude. We had let them know previously that we’d need a 12 o clock check out for when I had a lunch to come pick up my Mother in Law and daughter. They were completely understanding and said this would be fine. Ramona called my instructor (who was right next to my room) insisting she needed to get her stuff out of the room IMMEDIATELY, even tho they had paid for another night. But it was “wrong in the system”... I then got yelled at stating the same thing. VERY RUDELY “You need to get your stuff out of that room immediately! Check out was 15 min ago!” I told her I’d be there in 45 min when I had my break and she said “Then I need a card number to charge you another night”! Extremely rude..... I told her I’d send my mother in law down to the front desk. Instead she went up stairs and pounded on the doors stating they pack up and get out. How unprofessional. Her tone of voice was ignorant, and the most upsetting part. Was how she spoke to us and handled the situation. This is not how anyone wants to be treated paying for a service. I know my instructor, myself, and my family were not pleased with her.

Super clean and a great shower. But what made it 5 Stars was mostly the service. Mariah and Bonnie checked us in and out, and were so nice. (plus had fresh-baked cookies) Even when we had a flat tire and needed somewhere to get a plan together, they let us use their common room and phone.
