Republicans interested in the representing Montana's eastern U.S. House district, should incumbent Matt Rosendale run for Senate, are making their intentions known. Former Montana legislators Ric Holden and tell Lee Montana Newspapers that they will run for the Eastern District House seat if Rep. Rosendale clears out. They join state Superintendent of Public Instruction Elsie Arntzen in readying for a non-Rosendale contested 2024 Republican primary. Holden ranches in Dawson County and served four terms in state Senate representing southeast Montana until 2002.
